JULIEN DUBUQUE GARAGE COMPANY
JULIEN DUBUQUE GARAGE COMPANY. Capitalized at $150,000, the business filed its papers of incorporation in 1926. Directors of the company included Harlan G. MELCHIOR.
The company was to built a three-story and fire-proof basement structure designed for the automobile business on the southeast corner of Third and Locust. Purchased from the A. A. Cooper estate, the land had a 15 foot frontage on Third Street and 200 feet on Locust. The first floor of the building would be used for sales while the second and third floors were reserved for storage and repair, rebuilding, and painting. The building was to cost $200,000.
