JULIEN CHAPTER NO. 125, O.E.S. A meeting to make plans for the organization of a Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star was held on October 25, 1892. The officers elected at the regular meeting of Julien Chapter on October 23, 1893 included Worthy Matron, Jennie Calehan; Worthy Patron, James Howie; Secretary, C.B. Trewin; and Treasurer, Margaret Kapp.

The first meeting of Julien Chapter at the Masonic Hall at 10th and Main STREETS was held on October 11, 1895. Julien Chapter and the other Masonic organizations occupied this hall for the next eleven years.

The 1987 Dubuque City Directory listed 1155 Locust.
