The 1870-1871 Dubuque City Directory gave the address of this business as 17 Main.
The 1873-74 Dubuque City Directory listed 15 Main.
In July 1875 the city council declared the O'Brien slaughter house a nuisance and ordered it removed within twenty-four hours. (1) O'Brien did not take the council order seriously and saw his slaughter house demolished. (2)
The 1874-1875 Dubuque City Directory stated that this business was located at 161 Main.
