JOHN HESSE. The 1858-1859 and 1861 Dubuque City Directory listed Iowa between 8th and 9th.
The 1867 Dubuque City Directory gave the address as the corner of Iowa and 9th.
The 1868 Guide, Gazetteer and Directory of the Dubuque & Soux (sic) City Railroad stated that this business was located at the corner of 9th and Clay.
