JEPHTHAH SHRINE NO. 20, O.W.S.J. This organization for men and women was started on February 28, 1920 with 103 charter members under the direction of the Supreme Shrine. Mrs. Matilda Browne, known at the time as the "Mother of the Shrine," was the first Worthy High Priestess. In addition to being interested in establishing the new MASONIC TEMPLE, the social work of this group was giving a large donation toward establishing the playground at Mount Pleasant Children's Home.
