JANSEN, William R.
JANSEN, William R. (Dubuque, IA-- ). After serving in the Navy and graduating from Northwestern University in Chicago with a bachelor of science degree in business administration, Jansen worked one year with the American National Bank of Chicago. He returned to Dubuque and DUBUQUE BANK AND TRUST COMPANY where he had worked part-time in 1943 on a full-time basis in 1947.
He was named assistant cashier in 1950 and manager of the institutional loan department in 1952. He was promoted to cashier in 1953 and elected vice-president in 1964. In 1967 Jansen was elected president and director of the bank. He succeeded John H. Jansen, his uncle. He remained in the position until 1987.
