HOAG, Emily. (Canada-Waterloo, IA, Aug. 17, 1896). First white woman married in Dubuque. Hoag moved with her parents to Dubuque in 1832. Although it is not recorded when she married, Hoag was wed twice and was the mother of thirteen children all of whom died before her except for a daughter who lived in Waterloo.
