HEAT (RECORD). Dubuque's highest recorded temperature was 110 degrees on July 14, 1936. Dubuque had fifteen days that year of 100 degrees or higher with thirteen of them recorded in July. If a person added up all the 100-degree days in Dubuque between 1937 and July, 2016 it would only be a total of ten. Dubuque only recorded 100-degree temperatures five times between 1941 and July, 2016 with the latest being on July 25, 2012 with a temperature of 101 degrees.
The city received only .71 inches of rain during July of 1936 when the average was 4.31 inches.
