FRANK RHOMBERG-2500 BROADWAY
FRANK RHOMBERG HOME. Located at 2500 Broadway, this QUEEN ANNE ARCHITECTURE home was constructed in 1894-1895 for Christian K. Mathias. The architect was Fridolin HEER. Mathias only lived in the home for a few years before being forced to sell due to financial problems. The house was sold to a Mr. Kiene, a real estate agent, who owned the house until 1917. It was then sold to Frank M. RHOMBERG.
Rhomberg only lived two years after buying the house. His wife continued to live there with her son, Robert, who did not marry, until her death in 1962. One of the unique features of the house is the round porch off the kitchen.
