FINGER, Peter S. (Dubuque, IA, Dec, 20, 1953--Dubuque, IA, Feb. 25, 20190 The only son of Peter and Clara Finger, Peter graduated from DUBUQUE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL in 1970.

Over the next 30 years of his life, he was a valued part of the music community. As a member of the Dubuque-based LAVENDAR HILL band which was active from 1964 to 1979, Finger played a double kick drum, an instrument virtually unknown among local performers. He also performed with other groups as the "Mike Reiss Band" and "3 in the Attic." Finger was so proficient that an agency arranged for him to perform with such nationally known musicians as Ronnie Milsap and Roy Orbison.

His expertise extended into sound engineering for local acts, national tours making local appearances, and the DUBUQUE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA.

George Rondinelli of RONDINELLI MUSIC/AUDIO opened his business in 1977 and counted Finger as a customer and later an employee who sold musical instruments and sound equipment. In recent years, Finger served HOPE EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH as their sound/production engineer.
