ESCHEN, Walter E.
ESCHEN, Walter E. (Dubuque, IA, Feb. 26, 1917--Dubuque, IA, Jan. 16, 1997). Eschen was a past president of the Dubuque Key City Rotary Club and a past district governor of District 597. At the time of his death, he was the current treasurer and member of the board of directors of Rotary. He was a past president of the National Management Association, former board president for the Luther Manor Nursing Home, founding board member of JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF THE HEARTLAND, and was the first Dubuque resident to serve on the board of directors of the Area I Voc-Tech Institute.
In addition to these activities, he was a member of the board of the DUBUQUE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, a former chairman of the Dubuque chapter of Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), board member of the Heritage Trail Association, and a Foundation Board member of the Northeast Iowa Technical Institute.
