ELECTRICAL WORKERS' LOCAL NO. 263. In 2023 the IBEW represente approximately 750,000 active members and retirees who worked in a wide variety of fields, including utilities, construction, telecommunications, broadcasting, manufacturing, railroads and government. The IBEW had members in both the United States and Canada and stood out among the American unions in the AFL-CIO because it was among the largest and had members in so many skilled occupations.
As union members, the union bargains collectively with employers over wages, benefits, and rights.
