EAGLE ROLLER MILLS. In 1894 the mill located on Garfield at the corner of Pine was owned by C F. Scheppele and Son. In operation, according to newspaper accounts for several years, the mill processed wheat from Minnesota and the Dakotas and had a capacity of 125 barrels of wheat flour and 50 barrels of rye flour daily. A low grade of flour could be purchased for one dollar per hundred pounds. (1)

The 1911-12 Dubuque City Directory and 1916-1917 White's Dubuque County Directory listed 440 Garfield.

The 1922 Dubuque Telephone Directory listed Garfield and Pinard.

The 1929 through 1939 Dubuque City Directory listed 420 Garfield.
