DUTRAC COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION
DUTRAC COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION. DuTrac Community Credit Union was chartered in 1946 to provide financial services to the employees of JOHN DEERE DUBUQUE WORKS. DuTrac started with one office within the plant with 56 members, a little over $2000 in deposits and outstanding loans of $1195.
The Credit Union was founded by John Deere Dubuque Works employees who wanted to offer their fellow coworkers an alternative to commercial banks and other for-profit financial institutions.
Since 1986, DuTrac has enjoyed serving individuals and families in a 21-county area. Anyone living or working in one of these counties or anyone having a family member that is already a member of DuTrac can join.
Over the 65-plus years DuTrac has been in existence, the company has grown into a modern, full-service financial institution serving more than 43,000 members with assets of over $600 million.
As a not-for-profit organization, DuTrac’s sole purpose is to bring benefits to our members and their families through no- or low-cost services, lower loan rates and higher savings rates.

In 1990 DuTrac merged with First Family Credit Union and moved into the building occupied by First Family. In 1997 Du Trac announced that it would built a new St. Mary's branch office at 14th and Elm STREETS. Land purchase and construction of the new building was estimated to cost $1.4 million. The 3,000 square foot building would have four drive-up lanes, a drive-up teller machine and a night depository. New technology would include interactive video services, automated loan machines and touch screen technology. (1)
