DUBUQUE PERSONAL LIBERTY SOCIETY. As a result of the July 3, 1884 passage of a prohibition law in Iowa, the Personal Liberty Society was organized. In 1885 members of the Society including John Wunderlich, M. BLUMENAUER, Nicholas GLAB, John PIER, Mathias TSCHIRGI, Fred Tschudi, and A. Schmid traveled to Davenport to attend the state meeting of the anti-prohibitionists. (1)
