DUBUQUE NATIONAL SERVICE PARTNERSHIP
DUBUQUE NATIONAL SERVICE PARTNERSHIP. The Dubuque National Service Partnership is comprised of the following National Service Programs in Dubuque: Partners in Learning AmeriCorps; Iowa Campus Compact; Foster Grandparent Program; Retired & Senior Volunteer Program; Green Iowa AmeriCorps, and Iowa AmeriCorps State of Promise. In addition, various agencies serve as hosts to AmeriCorps VISTA members who are included as part of the collaboration.
DNSP strives to provide training, capacity building opportunities, and volunteer opportunities to the Dubuque community. The partnership engages nearly 500 National Service Members in Dubuque and encourages a local culture of service and volunteerism by partnering on national days of service such as Make a Difference Day, Mayors Day of Recognition, and Senior Corps Week.
In conjunction with the sixth annual Iowa Nonprofit Summit, Iowa Governor Terry E. Branstad and Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds presented the Dubuque National Service Partnership (DNSP) with a Nonprofit Collaboration Award on November 7, 2013 for excellence in the nonprofit sector.
