Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway. The speedway was a three-eights mile clay oval track located five miles west of Dubuque. In 1996, the fourteenth season of racing under the NASCAR Racing banner and the 27th racing season overall, the track featured racing for Hobby Stocks, Pro Stocks, Late Models, and Modifieds every Sunday beginning at 6:30 p.m. Special events included the annual Julien Dubuque Classic during the DUBUQUE COUNTY FAIR.
