DAN CASTELLO'S CIRCUS. Castello's Circus appeared performed in Dubuque on May 30, 1864. Featured acts included the performance of "Czar," a Russian horse; the "pleasing tricks of the handsome Arabian pony; the summersaulting (sic), and the jugglery of Vivaldi. Dan told jokes and Madame Castello displayed equestrian feats. Exhibitions were given in the afternoon and evening for at least two days.
