CHRISTIAN VATH. The 1858-1859 Dubuque City Directory listed 114 Main.

The 1858-59 and 1859-1860 Dubuque City Directory listed 8th between Locust and Bluff.

The 1861 Dubuque City Directory listed "the 2nd door north of the post office."

In 1866 Vath installed a "suite" of bath rooms where "persons of the male persuasion" could enjoy a bath or shower. A "private apartment" was set up for ladies to have their hair cut, curled or crimped. (1)

The 1868-69 and 1870-1871 Dubuque City Directory stated that this business could be found on the north side of 8th between Main and Iowa.

The 1873-74 Dubuque City Directory listed 8th and Main.

The 1874-1875 through 1886-1887 Dubuque City Directory stated that this business was located at 861 Main.

The 1890-91 Dubuque City Directory listed the LORIMIER HOUSE.
