CENTRAL PAPER COMPANY. The Central Paper Company was organized in 1925 by A. V. Weber who was still the president in 1939.

In 1939 the Dubuque Company bought the Newhouse Paper Company which operated in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota, Des Moines, Iowa; and Moline, Illinois. The Dubuque company was renamed the Newhouse paper Company of Dubuque and operated as a separate corporation with a capitalization of $50,000.

Since the primary business of the Newhouse Paper Company was printing paper, this line of business would be added to the Central Paper Company which had previous been dealing in wrapping paper and associated items.
