CAFE FRAICHE. The new restaurant offering breakfast and lunch Thursday through Monday opened for business the first week of September, 2015. The business was owned by Patricia Smith and her daughters Kelicia Kelley and Katelyn Meyer with Smith's son-in-law Michael Meyer. Smith and her daughters had previously owned Goldmoor Inn in Galena for eighteen years before selling the bed-and-breakfast in February.

Cafe Fraiche closed in September, 2017 despite a brisk business.
