BROADHURST, John G. (England, Aug. 29, 1827--Dubuque, IA, Feb. 19, 1892). Broadhurst came to the United States in 1848 and Dubuque in 1852. He began contracting at this time and formed a partnership known as BILES AND BROADHURST at 478 Fifteenth Street. The firm built the addition to the JULIEN HOUSE, LORIMIER HOUSE, the old Argyle House and many other prominent buildings in Dubuque.
