BRESLER'S 33 FLAVORS
BRESLER'S 33 FLAVORS. Bresler's 33 Flavors, an American ice cream chain, was founded in 1927 by William J. Bresler. In 1954, Bresler's began a fast food hamburger chain called Henry's Hamburgers. In 1987 when the Bresler's chain was sold to Oberweis Dairy in Aurora, Illinois it comprised 300 stores.
The chain was renamed from Bresler's 33 Flavors to Bresler's Ice Cream. Frozen yogurt was added to its menus to compete with TCBY. Two years later, Oberweis sold the chain to David Lasky. Yogen Früz parent company CoolBrands purchased the chain in 1995 and began expanding it internationally. In 2007 CoolBrands rebranded the last five Bresler's locations.
The 1974 through 1987 Dubuque City Directory listed KENNEDY MALL.
