BREDE, LANG AND COMPANY. John Brede joined Louis A. Lang on September 1, 1904 to form the Brede-Lang Company at 336 Main. (1) John Brede had previously been involved for two years with the Peaslee-Brede Company, another liquor merchant. Lange was a member of Jaeger, Rhomberg and Company and then JAEGER, LANG AND COMPANY in which he was the manager for many years. (2) The Brede-Lang Company lasted until 1910.

Brede went on to establish the EAGLE CHEMICAL COMPANY. Lang remained in the wholesale liquor business at 336 Main under the name Louis A. Lang until the business was closed on January 1, 1916 as a result of PROHIBITION.
