BOTT SHOE STORE. A local joke once went as follows--When seeing a person with new shoes, a person would say, "Did you Kopp (for Kopp Shoes) them? The reply was, "No, I Bott them."
The 1941 and 1945 Dubuque City Directory listed 640 Main.
