BOISOT, Louis. (Motier, Switzerland, Aug. 5, 1823--Chicago, IL, Dec. 6, 1900). Boisot came to the United States in 1848. He settled in Dubuque in 1853 and worked for the bank of F.S. Jessup & Co. until 1857. After that he worked with railroad and elevator interests.
In 1867, Bisot became associated with the GERMAN BANK and continued with that institution as cashier until December, 1878. In February, 1880, he was elected cashier of the SECOND NATIONAL BANK located at the corner of Main and Sixth STREETS.
