BARNARD, George. (Rochester, NY, Oct. 28, 1818-- ). Barnard worked for the New York Central Railroad for a number of years and the Customs Department of the United States Government for five years.

He came to Dubuque in 1856 and became associated with his brother in the LORIMIER HOUSE. He continued there until October, 1879, when he opened the KEY CITY HOUSE located at the corner of Main and Third STREETS.
