RHOMBERG, Alphonse L. (Austria, June 15, 1843--Unknown). Wholesale dealer in wine and liquor. Rhomberg came to Dubuque and joined his brother Frank. They entered the wine and liquor business in 1864 on Main Street and started the firm of Rhomberg Brothers Company, which became one of the largest of its kind in the country.
