ORVIS, Mary E. (Mrs. Vincent) (Winthrop, IA- ). Dubuque philanthropist. The first to hold the office of president of the YOUNG WOMEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION (Y.W.C.A.) in Dubuque, Orvis also served on the board of the Rescue Home and later as its president.
