JEHRING, John James
Jehring, John James. (Dubuque, IA-- ). National authority on profit sharing. Jehring, a graduate of COLUMBIA COLLEGE, did such detail analysis of profit sharing during postgraduate work at Cornell University that the concept gained credibility. In the 1920s the Jewel Tea Company was the first national company to adopt the profit-sharing incentive to increase sales. Jehring became the Director of the Center for the Study of Productivity Motivation, Graduate School of Business, University of Wisconsin. He served also for six years as Director of the Profit Sharing Research Foundation in which he worked with a number of leading executives in the organization and administration of an extensive research program on many aspects of profit sharing in business.
