JULIE N. DUBUQUE. Excursion boat. On October 19, 1970, the Julie N. Dubuque, owned by Art Bull, challenged the Delta Queen to a race from Catfish Creek to the JULIEN DUBUQUE BRIDGE, a distance of 1.6 miles. The judge for the race was William J. PETERSEN. The race was won by the Delta Queen that had a lead of approximately fifty feet as the boats approached the finish line.
