AMERICAN OPTICAL COMPANY. Located in 1968 at 1166 Main Street, the company had its home office in Southbridge, Massachusetts. The branch manager, H. J. Meyers, supervised nine males and six females in the fabrication of eyeglasses. The company came to Dubuque in 1921.
The 1972 Dubuque City Directory listed 1166 Main.
The 1977 through 1980 Dubuque City Directory listed 2530 Kerper Blvd.
