THE COPPER KETTLE AND GRILLE. The Copper Kettle was originally a family-owned grocery store which became a restaurant in the 1950s.

The name of the restaurant came from a two-story brewing kettle in the DUBUQUE BREWING AND MALTING COMPANY located across the street.

In 2012 Chris Staver purchased the building and began remodeling the interior. The restaurant was again open for business in October of that year.
