LEYTEM, Robert A. "Bub." (Cascade, IA, Nov. 2, 1955--Dubuque, IA, July 9, 2012). The son of Harland "Bub" and Rose Mary (Quint) Leytem, Robert he married Sheri Hough on Nov. 30, 1991, at SAINT JOSPEH THE WORKER CATHOLIC CHURCH in Dubuque.
His successful bar career began in Cascade with the Cellar Door in the mid-1970s. He later managed the Rose Garden and Labamba restaurant and bar, both in Maquoketa, Iowa. Bub's proudest business accomplishment was The Dog House in Dubuque, which was his passion for the past 28 years.
Bub enjoyed golfing, skiing, scuba diving and many other forms of physical fitness. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the sun and taking a yearly tropical vacation with his family. Bub took great pleasure in riding his Harley, driving sports cars and being actively involved in the lives of his loved ones and friends.
