CLARK, Max. (Unknown-Decorah, IA, Dec. II, 1982). Former superintendent, DUBUQUE COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT. Clark held the position of school superintendent in Dubuque from 1946 until 1966. He resigned that position to become superintendent of the Area One Vocational Technical School in Calmar, Iowa. In Dubuque, Clark was active in the Northeast Iowa Boy Scout Council, the Dubuque Community Chest and the Dubuque Rotary Club.
