DUBUQUE COMMUNITY CHURCH. A non-traditional evangelical, Bible-centered and Bible-believing church with emphasis on men being trained to lead their families spiritually. Grace Community Church, forerunner of the present church, met with Rev. David Stockeland for a brief time at the Hoffman House in the early 1980s but closed in 1986. Stockeland formed the present church on the first Sunday of February in 1987. In 1990 services were held in Blades Hall on the campus of the UNIVERSITY OF DUBUQUE.
