J.H. THEDINGA HOME. Located on the corner of Fifth and Bluff, this building is one of the city's oldest brick residences. It was constructed in the late 1840s for John H. THEDINGA and was originally an addition to a frame house that was demolished in the 1880s. The building was allowed to deteriorate and was condemned in 1973.

The building was purchased by Robert A. Sullivan and rehabilitated into his residence. It was later converted into a law office.
