RESNICK, David. Resnick received a Master of Music Education degree from Northern Illinois University and a permanent professional teaching certificate from the State of Iowa.

Resnick came to Dubuque in 1984. Beginning in 1993, he served on the Fine Arts faculty of CLARKE UNIVERSITY. During his tenure, he held many leadership positions at the college and was selected as a presenter for the prestigious Mackin-Mailander Lecture Series.

He has been involved in a broad spectrum of community organizations including the Dubuque Arts Council, Dubuque Chamber of Commerce, the Langworthy Neighborhood Association, and the Grand Opera House. He is also a member of many professional and musical performance organizations and has worked professionally with Paul HEMMER on several productions.

Resnick was elected to the Dubuque City Council in November 2007 as one of two at large members. In 2011 he again elected to the council.
