JAEGER, Francis. (Sageville, IA, July 18, 1842--Dubuque, IA, Aug. 7, 1912). Merchant. Jaeger was an organizer of the John Peter ELLWANGER Company, D.C. Glasser Tobacco Company, and the Jaeger Kunnert Company. He was a director of the Dubuque HIGH BRIDGE Company.

Jaeger, the son of pioneers who had come to Dubuque from New Orleans, Louisiana, was counted among the early pioneers of Dubuque. He held a charter membership in the Dubuque Sharpshooters' Association and was a member of the Old Settlers' Association. Jaeger was one of the first members of the SAINT MARY'S CHURCH parish.
