HONKAMP, Arnold N. (Dubuque, IA-- ). President, Honkamp, Krueger and Company accounting firm. Honkamp, recipient of the FIRST CITIZEN AWARD from the TELEGRAPH HERALD in 1987, began a long career in public service by joining the JAYCEES in 1969. Since then his service has included being president of the Dubuque Jaycees and the DUBUQUE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, membership on the Airport and Planning and Zoning commissions, and contributions to the DUBUQUE RACING ASSOCIATION (specifically handling its finances). Honkamp has been a parish director and finance committee chairman of SAINT COLUMBKILLE'S CATHOLIC CHURCH; member of the board of directors at AMERICAN TRUST AND SAVINGS BANK, United Way, JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT and Area Residential Care; and served on the finance committees of the ARCHDIOCESE OF DUBUQUE and WAHLERT HIGH SCHOOL.
Educated in Dubuque, Honkamp graduated from the old LORAS ACADEMY before attending the University of Iowa.
