GRAVES, R. E. (Keene, NH, Aug. 8, 1835-Tucson, AZ, Mar. 19, 1918). Bank president. Graves was elected president of Dubuque's FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF DUBUQUE in 1867. Later intending to move east, Graves resigned his position and sold his interest. Convinced by friends to remain in Dubuque, Graves organized the Commercial National Bank and became its president.
