MERCY HOSPITAL AID SOCIETY. The Mercy Hospital Aid Society was organized on November 14, 1879. The purpose of the organization was aiding in the completion of MERCY HOSPITAL and supporting the orphan asylum associated with the hospital.

Among the members were William J. KNIGHT, Maurice Brown, James Rowan, Thomas Kavanaugh, James Harragan, Dorrance Dixon MYERS, P. Flanigan, M. Gillcas, Thomas CONNOLLY, John Keenan, M. Liddy. F. McLaughlin, Patrick J. QUIGLEY, J. S. Garrigan, John J.LINEHAN, A. McCann and Thomas N. Irish.

Bishop John HENNESSY was President; W. J. Knight, Acting President; James Rowan, Vice President; Maurice Brown, Treasurer, and James Harragan, Secretary.

Meetings were called by the President.
