MIDWEST LUMBER COMPANY. Successor to the PYRAMID LUMBER COMPANY. Established in 1923, the Midwest Lumber Company had its headquarters in Dubuque with thirty-two branches in Iowa, Illinois, and Minnesota. With two supply yards located on lower Seventh Street, the company occupied a square city block. Incorporated with $1,800,000, the company was managed by D. F. Hodges.
