KAUFMAN, Alda. (Munich, Germany, Aug. 12, 1946-- ). Artist. A member and former director of the DUBUQUE MUSEUM OF ART and a Signature Member of the Iowa Watercolor Society, Kaufman was a celebrated local watercolor artist. Her paintings, emphasizing design and value rather than subject matter, graced many homes and galleries and regularly won prizes in competition.

A part-time medical technologist at MEDICAL ASSOCIATES, she painted on a weekly basis with the local Tuesday Morning Group for support and inspiration and participated in many one person, group and juried shows.
