HUGHES, Herbert L. (Minneapolis, MN, Dec. 6, 1917-Dubuque, IA, Sept. 11, 1989). Senior vice-president and secretary, FLEXSTEEL INDUSTRIES INC. A grandson of Frank Bertsch, the founder of Flexsteel, Hughes provided the company with financial guidance. He was a member of the DUBUQUE GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB and the 990 Club of the DUBUQUE SHOOTING SOCIETY.
