VORWALD, Elmer. (Dyersville, IA, 1919-- ). Union leader. Vorwald worked at Farley & Loetscher, General Dry Batteries Inc., and the A. Y. McDonald Manufacturing Company. He was a member of the Carpenters (Millworker), Molders, IMU Local 263, Machinists, IAM Lodge 1238. Vorward served as vice-President, IAM Lodge 1238 and president of the Dubuque Metal Trades Council.
