WIENEKE-HOERR COMPANY. Manufacturer of canned goods. Established in 1885 in Dubuque, the company at 850 Jackson Street, in 1911 employed one hundred people. The company advertised that in America especially the business profited from the interest "people were showing in providing themselves with the variety of goods packaged in such a manner (canning)."
