WILLIAMS, Dennis. (Mansfield, OH- ) In a wide variety of capacities, Williams shared responsibility for bringing exceptional music to Dubuque. Williams served at the UNIVERSITY OF DUBUQUE as an associate professor of music, chairperson of the music department and director of vocal activities. He directed the Collegiate Singers; Dubuque Chorale, chorus for the DUBUQUE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA; and was principal bassoonist. Williams served WESTMINSTER PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH as its Director of Church Music since 1976.

During the commencement activities at the University of Dubuque in 1989, Williams was the recipient of the Deans' Award for Exemplary Advising and Teaching.
