ANDERSON, Kentuck. (Unknown-Dubuque, IA, 1837). Anderson was recognized as one of Dubuque's earliest if not most proficient bullies. Threatened by Anderson with a pistol, Thomas McCraney took the gun away from Anderson and beat him with it. Anderson was later killed by a person whose life he threatened. The assailant was acquitted of murder.

The burial of Anderson left John H. FLOYD without doors for his cabin.
