PEASLEE, Edward C. (Anamosa, IA, Aug. 24, 1858--Dubuque, IA, June 3, 1939). Peaslee joined his father in the PEASLEE BREWERY when it was located at the southwest corner of West 4th and Iowa STTEETS.

He left the brewery in 1905 to begin work at the ERNDORFF IRON COMPANY and became its secretary and treasurer until the closing of the company in 1927.

Peaslee was one of the prominent members of the Masonic Lodge in Dubuque. He was also a member of the OXUS GROTTO and the DUBUQUE TRAVELING AND BUSINESS MEN'S ASSOCIATION for many years. For many years, he was a member of the Linwood Cemetery Association board of directors and for the last ten years of his life was the president and managing superintendent of the association.
